In 2025, ABC Cat Rescue supported 30 pregnant and nursing mama cats and their owners through our Last Litter Program.

We always recommend spaying your cat before she becomes pregnant, as pregnancy, especially at a young age, can negatively affect her health. Thankfully, there are low-income spay/neuter programs available in Chilliwack, including options during early pregnancy.

How the Last Litter Program Works

The Last Litter Program is designed to support families with accidental litters of kittens. We provide a free spay for the mama cat when her entire litter is surrendered into the care of ABC Cat Rescue.

This compassionate program helps prevent future litters while ensuring the kittens receive veterinary care, are spayed or neutered, and are adopted into loving homes.

What’s Included:

• Spay surgery

• 1 FVRCP vaccine

• Revolution

• 3 days of take-home pain medication

• Microchip with free lifetime registration through the BC Pet Registry
